I'll more than likely just mount it right there in the field.

You sure? Your picture indicates you would get along great in Gaysville, Vermont.

So bad news, I just got off the phone with stump. He said he couldn't send anymore calls to Illinois. Something about a crazy ol man that lives there and he only uses letters for his name.

What's the difference between the new and old tone boards? I just scored an old tone board gold digger (#260) in a trade. Never ran any of Stumps calls yet. Can wait to get my paws on it.

I have one of each, well I have an OS Golddigger in hedge and I'm holding on to one I bought my son that has the new toneboard. To me the new toneboard has a bit more rasp and has a bit lower tone bro me. Take all that with a grain of salt as I'm not a great call operator just know what works for me.

Thanks. I just got mine yesterday. Turns out that the original owner sent it back to Stump and had him modify it to be like the new toneboard, just without the spit grooves. It's an awesome sounding call. Better range than any other call I've owned. It might knock my A-5 off the lanyard. Gotta see if it'll still run on a cold foggy day after its full off breath condensation though.

A wee bit of rainx on the reed will take care of that .

I've found two call makers now that one of their calls will always have a place on a lanyard, Stump's and Gary Perinar's. The more I take one of their calls and practice with it the more I like them for what I need. Plus they are both the best with their customer service, never have heard one bad thing about either.

One call I wish I'd never got rid of was an original Throwback in white delrin. Needed money for a new gun in a pinch and someone made me an offer that I couldn't turn down.

I love my A5, I just have a tough time getting really quiet on it without making it sound squeaky. A good caller could do it, I'm just not a very good caller. I really want to try a hybrid and a T1. Anymore I only like having one call and a whistle. Just hard to find that one call to do everything.

Just got off the phone with Brett. Originally called just to pick his brain about the differences between the A5 and their other calls........ended up buying a Hybrid.

Tried to get one with the three panel checkering to match my A5 but that pattern is being discontinued and they're bringing back the full checkered barrels. Never really cared for that look so I just ordered a standard smooth barreled call.
