MEC sizemaster

Postby Flightstopper » Sat Nov 24, 2012 2:13 pm

Finally picked one up today and working on converting it to 3''. Put the deprime punch spacer in and raised the prime cup. It says to also move the "bolt and roller down to 3'' position", I'm not sure what to actually move on this step. Do I also have to move the column bolt on the front of the stand as well as making all the other adjustments? This manual sucks

Disassemble it completely first.

For 3" you will need to adjust the column bolt and the Allen head bolt and roller on the back of the column.

The column bolt should be in the top position. If you look at the back of the reloader there is an Allen head bolt with a sleeve under it( the roller) for 3" it must be lowered. My steel master was second hand and had an Allen head bolt the manual shows a hex head bolt. There are only 2 threaded holes for that adjustment so if its in the top hole just drop it to the next hole. This adjustment moves the collet resizer so if in doubt which bolt it is just look at the back and pull the handle down and you'll see it actuate the resizer on the down stroke.

It's really simple once you do it a few times.

Ok I understand what your saying. When I first looked at it the allen head must of been full of grease so I couldn't tell. I'm going back to look now. Thanks!
