Ain't it sad when things get to the point that you have to celebrate over scoring a year's supply of powder?

SLOWLY. Still gotta finish bathrooms, rails, flooring, and do six months of trimming. Found out that tin should always be laid, never hung. Hanging tin sucks.

Thanks, gents. I'm well over 20,000 nails deep in it at this point. I've driven Ehler up the wall with newbie construction questions. In my defense, I've done 100% of it with a $64 harbor freight nail gun, and I've never so much as framed a picture prior to this project.

yep, you got a lot of trimming to do, and I'm betting you'll have a few spots where you end up trimming your trim ;)

Cannon I'm coming down either New Year's Day or the day before, early for the Byers hunt and staying the two days before at Brian's place. We need to make sure we meet up at some point

It'll be the least professional build in the history of mankind. I faintly recall you saying "just make sure everything is square . . . it'll make a huge difference when you're finishing." Well, I didn't do that.

I have learned that a bad concrete job will haunt you to the very end of construction, that its impossible to square interior walls when you start with exterior walls that aren't, and whilst a $64 nail gun will do the trick, a $64 miter saw probably wont.

She's a heap, but I can actually say that I've got my signature on every gap in every corner that doesn't quite match up. I'm kinda proud of that.

Dude, you are so NOT staying at Brian's house. You're staying at the Trigger Happy Hunting Club, and I'll personally ensure that there's gas in the grill and a couple rib eyes in the fridge with your names on em.

laughed out load, yeah, the concrete can screw you, ya either have to spend a crazy amount of time with a laser and cutting all your first floor studs to a line or put your six guns and spurs on, get rid of the level and get to work!
