That same load with a win209 and 35 grains of steel powder comes in at 1440-1450 and is a very solid performer

I ran that 36 grain LBC load against RSI 74 the other day in a SBE with a factory mod choke. The Sam 1's yielded higher pattern percentages by about 10% but the LBC pattern was by far superior to the Sam 1's. I didn't chrono the loads but I did last year and the results for the LBC were right on with the 1500 fps mark. They worked great in B and 1's on snows

you split the lbc 4 slits or 3? I've been doing three and getting some good long range patterns. Still wonder what the pressure is on that load, was told its just a hair over 11k but would be nice to know. I think flight should send some in for testing

Why send them in when I have a pressure trace? Seems a little redundant don't ya think??

Well I had put a list of loads I wanted to test together and that was one of them. I called precision and got a price on sending them, but then the whole sandy hook thing happened so I figured they were busy and I never got around to it. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to do much myself, the other day when I patterned those it was the first time I sat behind the loader since January.

I slit them 3 times, and I can tell you that wad in a fed BC hull with the BP 1 1/4 oz load patterned in the upper 80's to 90% out of my xtrema. It was averaging 1425fps, but patterned great as well.

I still plan on sending some loads out I just need the time to put them together, pattern and do velocity checks before I send them.

LBC 43 or 50? Primer?

I've been shooting this with 35gr powder in a multihull and a ched209 primer and a lbc43 wad at geese all early season and didn't die.

Lbc 43, 50 is to tall
35 grains of steel with a cheddite 209 is a safe load, I load it with 36 grains and a cci209m and it's hot, I don't shoot it out of 3" guns, but jgun does

CCI run hottest of all primers, right?

What's the differences in primers?? Which ones are the hottest, and which ones are the coldest?

I know a cci 209m is hotter than a ci 209 but don't know how they compare to others, i know the fed 209a is a hotter one as well

I also know that a hotter primer doesnt always mean a higher pressure load, its all about the pressure curve, a load can have a longer curve providing more velocity without a "spike" good reading here

I loaded these with BB and a LBC50, was a perfect fit.
