Powders to be discontinued...

Powders to be discontinued...

Postby R. Chapman » Tue Feb 18, 2014 9:04 pm

I heard rumors that Hodgdon was going to discontinue PB, so I sent off an e-mail. Hodgdon confirmed that in 2014 they planned on discontinuing the following powders:

PB
SR 4756
SR 4759
SR 7625

I had thought that maybe they would breathe life into the IMR brand when they bought it. Guess I was wrong. This really sucks because I've always like PB.

PB sucks, 4756 on the other hand I'll have to stock up on, put it right next to my 10 pounds of HS-7

PB has worked good for me using 1 1/4 porch loads. 4756 is abundant here. No one wants any.

It can be a good steel shot powder also if Alliant Steel isn't available.
