6mm rem or 17 hornet Brass

6mm rem or 17 hornet Brass

Postby Duplex Lover » Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:08 pm

Well the shortage is still upon us. I have two new guns and no ammo. I'm building a 6mm rem and need to start working on shells for it. Factory loads here if you can find and are all 100 grain, just not suitable for my 1 in 10 twist so I have to load my own BUT yup you got it ,no brass... The boy just picked up a CZ in 17 hornet and the same thing the loaded stuff just is not to be found, AND no brass. Any body have some they would let go ?
THANKS !!!

I think I have a bunch of .22 Hornet brass if you want to mess with re-sizing it.

A 100 grain bullets works fine in a 1-10" twist barrel. Now anything slower won't stabilize it vary well.

My 6mm shoots 70 grn bullets like a house of fire. Really accurate. I will look and see what I have laying around.

Cool thanks.
I shoot a 85 in my 5 other 243's and they flat out KILL mule deer/ antelope
That's what I plan on with the 6mm too. I have no use for a 100 gr shell and would just shoot'm in to a ditch or pull the bullets just for the brass but that's a bit pricy for me.
