I've never shot a big deer, always take the first one out of the woods with milk in its lips

That's what I'm doing now, kinda gone back to my roots. I got hung up on the QDM kick for a few seasons.
The ones with spots taste much better.

Oh, I'm definitely a meat hunter. But most people don't get that that doesn't mean you shoot the first thing you see. You just have to make sure you shoot it before you can't see it anymore, to make sure nothing's following it. Lots of times that's gotten me a fat mama following along. Then after you drop her, you can get junior when they come back to sniff around and see what's up.

But I digress. Not an old picture, but one for the ages as far as my hunting is concerned.

That's not a fat mama or one with milk on it's lips. But if I got one like that, I'd probably give up on finding one bigger too

Always like going back and remembering some of those eventful days.

Solo hunt during a blizzard, buddy got drunk and never showed.

Annual Bufflehead beat-down

First Brant

Image

Cold day on the marsh, ended up with the boat on top of the ice and pushing it the blind.

Image

results from that day, watched my buddy choke on a nice drake pintail !!!

Image

Quick solo hunt from this year, everything seemed to go right this day.

Image

Never forget this day, long time friend that introduced me into waterfowl hunting, shot his first can.

Image

I shot my first banded can :D

I think this is circa 2010. I love and will miss hunting in the snow.

Here is a pic of my Grandad...the model 11 is mine now. No idea what year this was taken.

And one of me and my little sister from '82 and what I assume was my first deer hunt.
