Found some huntable water and duck hunted one morning on the October pheasant hunting trip. Didn't take many pictures on this trip for some reason.

November pheasant hunting trip. Frist day, the rooster with the longer tail had some decent spurs.

Huge fan of the flushing bird snow art shots, as that's something that always tickled me during my northern uplands years.

I found those on the edge of a cornfield, right in front of a big grass patch. They'd fly out of the corn and land right before the grass patch. They put those tales down and settle in as they land. The tracks lead away from that tail.

Glad you enjoy, thanks for the comment.

Thank you, I wish I had the writing skills to explain how much fun the dogs and I have up there.

My dogs sure do seem to enjoy that trip. Duck hunting is boring for the dogs(too much downtime) compared to pheasant hunting. Get them dogs out of the truck and they're fired up. My success depends on my dog's nose!

I took some photos of a decent size flock of turkeys in South Dakota.

I lucked into these this morning. Hunted Friday and only killed two gadwalls. It's pretty slow around here.

The dogs and I went to Kansas for a couple days. We hoped to find more quail than we did, but it wasn't in the cards.
