entertainment in paradise

Postby Tomkat » Tue Apr 30, 2013 5:41 pm

So today I was laying under a palm tree smoking a dominican cigar. Everything was cool.

I saw a dude in a security guard uni go runnin by with a walkie talkie. He was folowed by two other simiarly dressed dudes that were carrying an interesting baton. It was a bit heavier than a normal baton and about 16 Inches longer. I looked down the beach and saw 2 other guards running towards my direction. One had a walkie talkie and they both had those big sticks. I saw rasta man on the beach with a small satchel.

My wife, who is a mild mannered peaceful type, said I think we are going to see a beat down.

Rasta man surrendered quickley. No beat down. They cuffed him quick as a wink and lead him off, with an occasional stick prod when he even thought about talking or slowing down.
It was pretty obviouis they were not in the mood for fun and games.

And that was it. My guess is he was selling drugs. My only thought is did he get the beat down, and go to jail, or just go to jail?

There is no good jaill but I would bet the ones here are about as bad as you can get.

Arresting someone for selling weed in the DR seems to be about like citing someone for speeding at the Indy 500, if you ask me.

They dont have a us constitution Assateague. To answer both of you, I am a law and order kind of guy.

The real fault here Jim is that he did it in front of a fancy resort. No way are thy gonna risk their reputation. They need all the incoming foreign currency they can get.

I did the right thing. I rolled over and grabbed my drink.

I dont see much police activety in my daily life.

If I was a rich tourist on the beach in the DR, I may want to smoke a doob, and I certainly wouldn't want to have to go downtown to get it. That guy was just providing a service. Although he may have been run off because he was cutting into the hotel concierge's clientele.

My sister was married at a Sandals Resort in Jamaica. The peddlers were allowed to walk the beach, and try to sell/hock their product while walking. They could not approach you, unless you waved them over.

If any of the peddlers were bothering the guests, they received the same treatment...

Tk, you have been very disappointing in the sharing with your internet friends department. Pictures, we want pictures. If no pictures are produced, I hope there is a broken bottle of make syrup in your crushed mailbox upon your return home.

Of course, if pictures are produced, then I hope there are two perfect bottles of syrup in your unscathed mailbox.

TK sent me some pics and asked me to post them for him. I couldn't do so, due to me losing my phone over the weekend while out of town hunting. There was some good shit, not going to download them to dads computer, might post tomorrow when my new phone arrives.

Goldie I am sorry. The connection here is not very good. I have been taking pictures every day. I tried like hell to obtain tapatalk for my tablet before I left but could not download it.

Additionally, a lot of the titties here you do NOT want to see. I will do what I can Goldie.

Fashion alert: the Europeans wear some FUCKED UP shit. Bright orange shoes, weird clothes, terrible hair styles. They have made for some great people watching.

Gosh I hate to bring this up, but what kind of a mess is waiting for me, weather wise, back in Kansas?

I wish I could stay here in the Emerald city, but will have to click those ruby slippers tommorow.

Mid 30's and possible chance of rain, but it will warm back up to the 60's here in a couple days...typical KS weather.
