We put a real American in the ground today. I didn't say anything when he died but after his funeral today I figured I should share his memory.
Charles E. Baum died May 5, 2013 at the age of 95. He had volunteered to fight in WWII to try and prevent his older brothers who were married from being drafted. While over seas he was captured and forced on the Bhutan Death March. When Charlie left to fight the ware he weighted 230 lbs. and at the time of his liberation from the camp he weighed right around 80. There is supposed to be an article in the paper and I will try and type up some of it once I get it.
