I'm going to respectfully disagree. Although I don't have much to compare, it doesn't sound like that much fun.

Oh no, scooters are a riot. But they are for joking. Just like fat chicks.

Some scooters will haul ass. The one my wife has in Thailand will go 110kmh with me on it.

Ya, but what's that in 'merica? Like 17 or 18 mile an hour?

70ish I guess. Not really sure, google kmh-mph conversion.

All I know is 100kph is about 60mph give or take a few, but neither is fast enough to hide from your buddies that you are riding a scooter

Takes far more of an alpha to ride a scooter. Fact. Just like wearing crocs.

The truth.

This is leading to banana hammocks being alpha. Got to be careful here fellas. Some lines shall not be crossed.

I was just offered a Harley for my 84 mustang SVO last night. It needs a new motor, I blew the last one. I have a Lincoln town car with a 302 that goes along with it.It's a Ironhead Sportster in mint shape with drag pipes. I'm normally a rice guy, but I'm too damn poor to drop the money into the Mustang to waste any more of my life hoping I will one day. _

I'm kind of with Jehler on this one. Normally I'm not a pansy, but when you got all those kids to care for and make a living with your hands, you can't afford to get hurt.

I already have 2 bikes. I just don't want the car any more. I'd like a Harley to ride with my friends and to take the woman out on a date now and then. Plus, ditching two cars clears up a lot of space. I have a Lincoln that goes with the Mustang for parts and a motor swap.

Didn't know that. In that case, unload the dead weight and take the cash.

Harleys for some stupid reason hold their value really well. Must be that people think sinking money into chrome polish, oil changes, and beer busts makes the bike more valuable

Trade for the Harley, and sell the other two bikes.

Instant room and cash for more duck calls!

I think this is where something clever about tapatalk should go.

And an '84 mustang is what? I know we used to tease don about gold chains and all, but come on. Make the trade and sell the HD if you end up needing/wanting the cash.

Don don't take this the wrong way, but, you are a magnet for hardship. You should sell it all and put it in the college fund or something

SVO's aren't overrated on a track or a drag strip, given the right motor and mods. This car onlyy needs the motor dropped in, which I'm supplying with the car.

John, you're right. My uncle told me (He owns Black Dog custom cycles in West Mifflin, Pa) that what I have is a dead project and selling a mint Harley is a whole lot easier in a pinch. He is going to inspect it for me.

As far as selling my other bikes, one is a 250 yamaha sport bike for the girlfriend I was in the process of rebuilding and my 750 Yamaha Seca has so many mods to it and work in it, I'd never get my money back or want to sell it. It's an animal on the drag strip and a total sleeper at the red lights. I love that bike. I'm a Yamaha guy at heart. I really want an R6 or better yet, an R1.

I'll race my R6 against your Seca. It's not even new, it's 13 years old. Still fast and takes a hell of a vehicle or bike to beat it. You'd love either the R6 or R1, especially if you like red light runs. Where they really shine is curves though

My Seca is 30 years old and back then, sport bikes didn't have the power curve, HP and power to weight ratio of bikes made only a few years later. A 2000 R6 has triple the HP my bike had stock. A sleeper at the lights and the drag strip is all relevant to what it is. Few vehicles with 4 wheels keep up with it, but an R6 with a good rider will win every time. I have ridden an R6 and I owned a CBR 1000F with a 900RR turbo kit. I know what a 160 HP is like and my old Seca isn't that. I went and looked at the HD last night. It's pretty clean, but looks old. Not weathered, not rusty, not damaged... but old. It needs a through cleaning to be really assessed. It's good enough and runs well enough to make the trade though, for sure. My only issue is the few aftermarket parts he used. I'll scrap them over time and get it back to the original looks, or closer to it. The Skulls and biker gang member look isn't what I want. I want the vintage iron look. I couldn't get a good pic of it, but here's one of the car. I backed it out and washed it for him to see Saturday.

Lol, I wish. I love the old yamaha sport bikes from the mid 80's. I like this old iron head, too. I plan on making it run just about as fast as I can make it. I have access to a full shop, infinite knowledge and even stuff like a dyno to check modifications for precise gains and tuning. My uncle drags HP out of SS revtech combinations that is insane. he'll get me up and running right.
