The bird is an Osprey, a raptor. The rabbit is hoplessly out of touch with the day to day dealing of the Osprey. Being a prey animal, the rabbit's only experience with raptors is having buddies picked off by hawks and such. When the Osprey takes a branch to add to it's nest, the rabbit assmues the bird means to eat it, and has a good laugh over it. Its funny on several levels, it has laughing rabbits, and a healthy does of satire, where the earthly rabbit arrogantly misinterprets the behavior of the charasmatic avain predator.
