We'll be headed down to fish from the beach spot on Tuesday. It could possibly be the last time in my life I'm fishing for keepers. It goes to C&R only next year, for the whole state of Oregon.
If we get a keeper, I'll try to keep a chunk for the next trip over.

They are excellent to eat. Texture of pork with zero bones.
I would've thought they were bony as hell, just looking at that prehistoric thing.
They only bone in the whole fish is the head(skull). There are barbs that run on the outside of their skin that are harder than bone.
I would say they are comparable to Halibut in flavor and texture. They make great battered fish and killer beer battered fish.

Tripod, funny, you're the only one who noticed that. Not sure if that fits in your beastiality fettish.
