Barter is the way of the future.

I have traded into some good stuff via craigslist. I often use bartering to get rid of stuff I can't sell for cash for something different that will sell for cash.

The last field I planted Saturday was a bit irregular shaped and as I was finishing the gps was shutting down individual rows to keep from overlapping the already planted ground.

The technology is mind blowing.

The farmers here are damn near being forced into it, with the nutrient management plans that the state is mandating. It is down to 3 acre sample areas now, with records to be kept per sample area. Really, when this kicks in next year, the only way to NOT violate the regs and keep proper paperwork will be to have sprayers which run on the same technology, adjusting nozzles as you go via computer. It's ridiculous, really.

Granted the cost of the technology and paperwork is a burden - but the ability to put seed, fertilizer, and chemicals exactly where they need to be is a benefit both cost and time wise.

Why are mud motors or long tails so insanely expensive? If I could put a 3HP longtail on my hybrid, I would be set.

My brother swears there's a guy he sees around here that made a mud motor for a small hybrid out of a weedeater .

I've seen them, and thought about it, but I think they're better for ponds and such. I hunt tidal water, and sometimes it's flowing pretty good in the direction I DON'T want to go, so need something with a little ass behind it. I don't think a weed eater would push it well enough against a tide and/or the coastal wind I get some days.

People do it. Although its not going to push you any faster or any more muck than an electric trolling motor.

Make one out of a $99 6.5 hp harbor freight special. Get one of those cheap $15 props off eBay and your all set. Did you ever buy a welder?

No. And I think those things are too heavy. I've eyeballed them before, though. Since I'm getting a dog, I'm going to make a new hybrid, probably 10' or so, and will incorporate pods. At that point, I'll be able to entertain the notion of making one of those slightly heavier longtails.

Because the guys that make them want to make a "living wage". Something unheard of these days.
Try feeding your family off profits made from the manufacture and sale of "mud-motors". :?
If you want one cheap...look in the Missouri Forum of that other place.
There is a guy who builds mud-motors as his hobby.
Try securing a loan to build a manufacturing facility to make mud-motors.
I'm betting that real quick you'd find out why they cost too much.

You need this badly and I don't. Make me a deal I can't refuse. It has a trailer and a 4hp trolling motor and I'll throw in a battery.
The trailer HAS A TITLE but the boat doesn't. It's 13.5' long. Mud-motor mount is on the back. LOOK!
Carsten Pintail.
Bought this to go hunting. Then my goof-ball parents decided to give/sell me that jon boat. Now I'm in "title" limbo and wanting it all gone. Take it away. I hunted twice in this boat.

Put some pods and your good to go. The 125 2 stoker probably weighs less than a 50 4 stroke.

Wife hates it when I do this. Always buy shit to sell it. Just this fall, we still had a metal band Mondo on the shelf, so I bought it. Ended up selling it for a camo Super Nova and some cash, cuz I knew I could always get money out of the gun. I love it, drives her f'n crazy.

$200, a bottle of water for your coffee maker, 2nd gen flambeau decoys (some with holes from shot, and your choice of a nice dime or a hug from a bum.

How can you refuse that?

I think this is where something clever about tapatalk should go.

Its called hustling man, I used to do it a lot when I restored cars. Most if the time I would be in the prepping stage and trade it off with some cash added.
