Yeah, what ever.

I drove a truck over the road for allmost 5 years. I have pulled a trailer from LA to Long Island, been 1n 44 states.

I have an opinion on public safety. I am sorry you dont agree with it.

That does not change my opinion.

So tell me Jehler, do you do 65 mph through a school zone?
i hit 115 in a school zone once, but I was a student at the time

Does that make the one going faster in the left lane any more legal than the one going 5 over? Aren't both of you breaking the law, so how is one or the other one right?

I'm saying just because you're speeding the left lane doesn't mean you can block other people wanting to go faster

But if I'm going over the speed limit, why should I get over for somebody going faster than me? Who is right? Neither.
its common courtesy. You're comfortable going 5 over. The person behind you might be comfortable going 10 over. Why are you jamming them up. Just get over and let them pass then go back to doing your 5 over

Eff people on bicycles. They are taking their lives in their own hands riding the way they do, two and three wide on roads.

I always chuckle when I see those goofy fuckers riding on the road thinkin they have the same right of way as a car, then when they come to a red light they blow through it. Pick and choose which rules to follow I guess.

Bicycles should be outlawed on the roads. Pedestrians too. Drivers of cars should have to wear helmets and 5 piece harnesses

Doc and Jehler, do either of you speed in a school zone? Why not?

All better now!

you are right about the Dr. wanting me to get more and better sleep and to stop working 100 plus hours a week. i have done so the best i can,but i will still drive semi like i stole it and silage truck flat out pedal on the floor. time is money bro. i refuse to let the choppers or combines set idle in the field. blasting up and down my gravel roads is not for the timid.

but i do drive the seed limit +/- 5 or 6 mph when in a pickup on the paved roads. in town i drive under the speed limit.
when im smoking  i drive really slow but it feels like im doing 200 lol

Older drivers are more experience by far than younger ones and drive a bit more conservatively for a reason.
All the speedy young fast zippy drivers my age are dead. They got into automobile accidents and died. :?
MAYBE it's not so good idea to wear your vehicle out with jack-rabbit starts, stops, and speeding in between.

This is something I learned in engineering school.
WHEN YOU DOUBLE YOUR SPEED...YOU QUADRUPLE THE RESISTANCE from external forces such as friction and air resistance.
Slowing down a little bit makes your car perfom better, requires less maintenance, and is SAFER TOO!
Sorry but this shit should be taught in driver's ed class. Maybe y'all was asleep or daydreaming about boning the cheerleaders.

When I was in HS, there was no requirement for the class. I didn't take it. Besides, the class cost something like $50 or maybe $100. Do you have any idea how much 'erb that translate to back in the 70s. Oops, I forgot who I was talking to. Carry on. ;)

This past weekend I drove to Nashville. For the first 400 miles, I more or less drove at 70mph because I followed the moving truck. My car, V8 with fully loaded cargo got 24 miles to the gallon. For the last 200 miles I ditched the moving truck and drove 80. My mpg dropped to 21. Ill take that decrease in mpg any friggin day of the week for the time it'll save. Had I driven 80 the entire way that would have been an hour less of travel time.

Really, I lived in Germany 3 years and would get passed like I was parked when I was doing 100mph. They keep it safe by keeping old people off the road. Old people walked and rode bikes a lot there.

Define "old" but be careful...it has a way of happening to you.
Old: someone who drives slower than QH's Paw.
Correct?
Will go one step further. It should be a law that all vehicles have bumpers at same height.
Why? So when QH comes along he can just push the guy in front faster. Make that legal too.
Gimmee a push...

Make the bill, we'll get Petty to sign it into law. Isn't he the one that bumped someone on a freeway in NC one time, because they were going too slow, in the left hand lane. Just go all old school Nascar on their ass.
