duck call trivia question

Postby aunt betty » Thu Jun 20, 2013 6:49 pm

In the series M*A*S*H
Season 3 Episode 5 "Out of Sight"
Klinger gives Hawkeye a duck call.
What brand and model call is it?
Hint...it is made of wood and has one reed.
If you have one...post a picture of it.

Never seen it but if I had to guess, it'd be Lohman.

That is a VERY good guess.
1970'S duck call. Single reed made of wood. Not an olt.
Last hint:
Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The paint wears off the Faulk's WA-11 duck call almost immediately.
If you ever see another one like that...buy it. Tell them it sucks and offer 5 bucks.

My all time favorite call was a lohman single reed in a wood barrel half as big as your fist. I loved that thing. The day it finally warped so bad the reed and board wouldn't stay put was a sad day indeed. I never really realized how much air it took to work that thing until I got a newer acrylic call with double reeds.

I have a mint example of both of them, including the one as big as your fist, QH. It looks like a wooden stump with a 50 caliber plastic bullet sticking out where the insert would be.

I thought you had a duck call question, too. Not one about MASH. MASH sucked.

How many times have you heard someone blow on a duck call in a sitcom TV show.
Laugh-In?
Other than that...probably never. It is a very good question that you could not answer therefore it is a bad question.
My father uses the same defense. Lame
If I said my call IS the prop from that episode...how much would it be worth...DON?

You just wrote a check
that your ass cant ever cash
when you bashed on MASH.

Haikued ya too!
