For a very long time The Fighting Illini played Michigan every other year on or around Oct. 20 (Saturday in late October).
I look forward to this game because it's always been a huge rivalry. Michigan wins a lot but it's still "The Big Game" here. Plus the weather is always PERFECT that weekend. When we win, it's epic. We got Michigan State this year on that weekend..
What a drag.

I follow Wisconsin. They are like the buffalo bills of the 90's, and wouldn't have a chance against Bama.

You gotta be kidding me...
I can remember Ohio state getting gang banged by two SEC teams back to back in the BCS championship first by Florida then by LSU the next year. It's been SEC ever since. Always has been they've just finally gotten the credit they deserve in the polls and now since all these pussy conferences are crying about it they're doing away with the bcs. Now with the new system you've got a possibility of TWO southeastern conference teams in the national championship game every year. Hell this past year the national championship was held in Atlanta at the sec title game.
But that's all in the past now. I'm ready to see the Georgia Bulldogs put up an ass load of points this season. Hang on to your dick bc it's gona be the one of the highest scoring offenses in college football this fall.
Dawgs on top.

You SEC boys are right. The SEC is the best conference in the NCAA right now. It's easy when you have a national TV contract, and can afford to pay the top recruits to play in the SEC.
Don't be upset about it. That's just the way it is, and that's a fact. I would be more than happy to put down the other conferences if we were dominating the way that the SEC is right now, but I sure as hell would know that it's not just because the conference is good on their own.
Here's another fact...the NCAA is one of the most corrupt businesses out there. Whomever they want to let get away with rules violations, will get away with them (including paying top recruits). Whomever is going to be in the "National Championship" will be, because of them.
That's the way it has been, and will continue to be for a long time to come. I don't mind because it makes for some great football on Saturdays.

But it wouldn't have been a good game and the SEC is far from being "pussies". it would've been the same massacre as undefeated notre dame got handed. You can sit there and spout off saying "oh all the sec top recruits are paid" if that's true then it's true everywhere. The top recruits want to play in the sec because they want to win and get recognized by the NFL so they can make more money in pro football, not because they are being more generously compensated while acquiring their degree in basket weaving.
you see it different. Being a Georgia fan ( and I mean die hard live and die by Georgia football) when I watch Espn all they do is talk shit and not give the dawgs any credit. Saying they they backed into the sec championship game last year. Give me a break. We lost and it was still the best game I've seen in years. Possibly ever. They still suck The dick of Ohio state USC notre dame and whatever team that is dominating all the other shitty teams in the WAC. Although Boise did come to Atlanta and beat Georgia in the chicfila opener two years ago.jarbo03 wrote:Many conferences have dominated eras. The Big 10, when I graduated, half thr Big 8 was in the top 8, the Big 12 had it's run, now it's the SEC. Their level and depth of athlete is better than others. The coddling by ESPN and BCS helps, so does only having 2 AAU accredited schools.
