Figured I might as well say before some other asshole does.

I was really trying to figure out what unpredictable river you were talking about, The Docile Kalamazoo River, The Meandering Battle Creek River, or The Large but Gradually Sloped St. Joseph River... I mean the St. Joe can get hairy closer to the lake during the snow melt, but float ice should keep the children out that time of year.

I settled on you referring to infrequent oil spills in the Kzoo, but in reality your joke must have flown over my head.

In previous discussions regarding weather on this Internet forum, jheler and myself have established that the weather in Michigan is wildly unpredictable. Much more so than anyplace else the rest of these douchebags hail from.
We've also established in subsequent discussions that the Great Lakes (excepting Ontario) are some of, if not the most, unpredictable waters in the world.

Living here is truly like being on the razors edge at all times.

Oh the bad/unpredictable weather has translated in to all outdoors related items.

Ooohhhh dan, you can call me what ever name if the book you'd like, but that won't change the truth of this matter. Lake ontario during diver system would roll you up onshore leaving you, your boat and buddies in pieces. Reading the weather is the first thing we learn and that's when we re 3 or 4 years old. Then at 5 yrs old we get the guns out and master that art.

Have you ever seen Lake Superior? or Lake Michigan? They are considered some of the deadliest inland waters in the world.

But ALL of the Great Lakes are dangerous like no other lakes.

Duh. When it gets bad on the Great Lakes, people take shelter - not standing around taking photos.
