Heh. My backyard. How long were you there and did you hate it like everyone else seems to?

I enjoyed the area hunting and fishing. The two years I spent there were long, long hours of work unless I was on leave.

The hunting there isn't as lenient anymore. You have to register your guns with the base, which I guess I can accept, but don't like. Anyone who has ever been stationed there, that isn't from the area seems to despise the place. I work there often but I am on the Wheeler-Sack side. I have ventured over to the main base and I can honestly say I feel bad for the permanent party there.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

I was a freshman in high school and was in art class. They let us all out of school because Barksdale AFB was close by and thought that something could happen to it.

God bless America

The weather in va that day was similar. No humidity, not too hot, clear blue sky.

Some here in NE NC....I was at work on a restore in the historic district here in town. It was the parsonage to one of the oldest churches still standing. We were installing standing seam galv. We were setting in the truck eating lunch when it came over the radio....I'll never forget, I was in disbelief. It seemed like no way that could be happening...

I was at work, trying to install a heat pump, but having hard time because I kept stopping to watch the news since the homeowner had it on her tv. Didnt think I was ever going to be able to focus long enough to get my work done.
I've forgotten about many of the jobs I've done but will alway remember that house.

Junior year English class. I also remember where I was the day we finally took the fight to those dirty fucks. I was fishing with my dad when a boat passed by and the guy in it gave us the thumbs up. He said, "they started bombing the fuck out of Afghanistan today".

I was a young State Trooper and I'd worked until 6am the previous night. If I wasn't on call for court I'd turn my phone off so I would'nt be constantly woken up with phone calls during the day. About 3pm I finally woke up and turned on my phone and headquarters had been burning up my phone telling me to get my ass down to the Texas State Capitol because it was going on lockdown and they needed all hands on duty. I quickly showered and checked on duty. I was initially shocked then pissed when I saw the coverage.

A couple of old Marine buddies called and said they were going to re-up and go to war!

I think videos like this are important, just to remember that these fuckheads weren't finished with the hurt and anger on 9/11, but that it continues to this day through the lost lives.

Personally, I can't make it past about 1:10 without borderline losing my shit. And I'm not ashamed to say it.
