I have used them to keep holes open in the ice. Always made decoys dance real good. I cut the bottom of a decoy off so it would fit over the handle and top of motor.

I have one in the works right now. The top was busted so its just a shaft with a motor and will have to be hotwired unless I build a control panel for it. AB made one and posted up his pics on DHC, that's where the idea for mine came from.

I've been using the Mallard Machine version for years with mixed results: teal like it, but it's real easy to overdo the motion with big ducks. Mostly just gives me something to do on still days and may help take eyes off the blind when game is spotted and folks jerk around, point and duck like I've asked them to try not to.

But one of our other guides tried using a trolling motor just to move water and unattached decoys as I gather you're wanting to, and I don't know that he even finished out a season with it in the pond. Do know it wasn't there the next.

I built one several years ago. It has a high and low and I used 12 volt flasher relay to get a semi feeding motion. Don't have any pics on my phone, but will try to get some later.

that,s what i have a old troll to rob for part,s im thinking about copying the mojo one .setting it up so i can mount a mojo on top and a slide mount for motor. i want to put a foot button on it so i can control from blind .i have a speed control so i can set the amount of water movement .i am in south La and just wanted to know if it,s worth the work.
