Tell us how long you stick with that.
No shit!
I fully expect I will need an extension for the first time in my life this winter. Was always damn close in da UP but could always break through about the time the powerhead was touching the ice.

But all you really need for ice fishing are a couple tip ups, an auger, bait, some kind of sled to haul your gear, I've even made rods with just a stick and some li.e wrapped around the tip. A shack will limit your ability to move around and find the fish. The best way I've found to attract pike to your location is by lowering a small kitten in a mason jar to the depth you are working your bait. When the pike realize they can't get the tasty kitten, they will focus on your bait. There is no need to rig up some fancy air circulation system to the jar. Just swap out the kittens every 20 minutes or so, they're pretty cheap.

What's the order code for those? (without the jar of course)

Cardinals and goldfinches work best up here, but kittens are the kings of pike baits.

Try breaking a wing first it works a lot better.
