The ones here are tracking collars but supposedly there are only about 100 in the wild and I would guess less than half have collars. They're not GPS collars. They are telemetry collars.

You can't track with telemetry collars, unless you want to chase the fuckers across the countryside for eternity. they only tell you a very general direction. the receiver pings and you have to interpret the pings, takes a good bit of practice and half the time they don't work that good. the only way you could track with one would basically be line of sight anyway.
