To bad it wasn't Roberts. And the coyote didn't eat his nut sack off.

Eating the heart out of his chest would have been better.

If I went deer hunting during duck season, my lab would sit by the back door all morning whimpering until I returned. He saw me leave the house with a gun and couldn't understand why he got left behind.

I have a deerstand directly behind my house about 80 yards away that you can see from the upstairs window and if I walk out the back door without him he immediately goes and watches me out that window until I come back. He will sit there for hours just watching me in my treestand.

I take my dog to the drive up window at the bank, she gets a dog biscuit. I take her to a fast food joint, she gets a hand full of fries. I take my dog all the places where she gets free food. Aside from duck and goose hunting, the only thing she hunts is a place to relieve herself, a place to sleep, a ride in the truck and her food bowl.

I used to take my ol' boy Kodi everywhere with me but, once his hips started bothering him, It wears on him to jump in and out of the truck. Now that I have him and the younger dog, I just don't mess with loading them both up as much. I bought a ramp for Kodi but, I just haven't had the heart to make him use it.
As for deer hunting with your dog, that'll get you locked up here, or at least a big ass ticket.

You need to speak to your bank about their interest rates, ours gives dogs three biscuits.

That sounds like a cool story. I want to hear it sometime.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Really not much of a story there, but when Antonin Scalia hunted with us last season, we didn't bother to boot the coyote from his usual spot in the cab and let the Justice ride the tailgate to the boat house like most other hunters. Didn't do it as a slight, just figured he'd enjoy the chance to be a regular Joe for a bit, which seemed the case.

The best story, I think, came about when I told my dad I'd been hunting with the Justice. At 92, Dad's still very much attuned to the nation's business and concerned for its future, and while he'd probably not agree with Scalia on everything, he certainly would in general. So I thought he'd be tickled to hear the news.

Didn't, however, get so much as a "That's nice." Just, "Tell him to go home and get back to work."

You've never taken a dog deer hunting? Many times have I brought my German shepherd deer hunting and.coyote hunting with me. Just put an orange vest on her. She's quite and don't even know she's there half the time. Likes to watch

I think in canada its legal to drive deer with dogs but not in ny. if you see a dog chasing a deer in ny you are suppose to shoot the dog. I hunted chipmonks with my moms cat before when I was young, but got bit on the hand by a half dead chipmonk and quit that before it became a tradition.

It's legal in south Carolina. I suggest everyone to try it. Nothing like it, although, the tradition is fading fast.

I grew up running deer dogs, then got into hog and bear hunting with dogs. But in the last four or five years have gotten out of dog hunting. Still love it but don't have time for it anymore.

The trout fishing was cool. Looking forward to the stripers getting here, but the trout fishing is so simple, and the water is calm enough that I don't worry about my daughter falling overboard.
