Yea or Nay?

Postby Bulldog0156 » Sat Apr 26, 2014 9:04 am

2008 Tundra with the 5.7, 138,000 miles: $16,000. I'm going to look at it this morning, I believe it has a topper as well. Sounds like it was 1 owner (older gentleman) who spent a lot of time going from eastern MT to AZ. He traded it for a new ecoboost. Toyotas are so damn expensive in MT and hold their value ridiculously well.

My initial impression is that they are probably all highway miles and he probably didn't use it to tow much. My reasoning for that is no one is going to buy the ecoboost for towing a lot. Ecoboost was made for guys that want to be seen as cool by owning a truck, but still worry about gas mileage. ;)

That's way to much $$$ for a 7 year old 150.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Yup. My 1 ton diesel lariat super crew was $2500 less when I bought it at 7 years old.

That's pretty steep. But the mileage is also low. I have a 2010 150 with the 5.4 and just passed 140k this week. I don't have a single complaint about the truck it has been great. If you can talk them down in the price the 150 is a solid choice IMHO.
