I'm going with "hilarious". But I should also say that I didn't watch it yet.

I could picture you thinking about upcoming chores while q-tippin your ears and dippin too deep by accident.

I don't q-tip. Using the shower head is the only way to go.

Wait just a cotton picken second...you stream water directly into your ear and just let them air dry? I'm baffeled by this honestly.

No, you tilt your head, and let the shower pour into it for a few seconds, hot as you can stand. Then tilt your head the other way, and do the other ear. Repeat about 3 times per ear. Works way better than q-tips. A q-tip seems to me to be basically a ramrod, which sort of defeats the purpose of cleaning your ears. If you've never done it, it'll take about 10 times per ear- you'll "hear" it when the water finally goes down to clean it out. Sounds like a toilet flushing in your head.

Not to be disgusting, but I used to use q-tips - until the doc pulled a wax ball out of my ear the size of a 9mm slug. It was UNBELIEVABLE.

Same here, about 25 years ago. He's the one that told me about the shower thing, and it works.

I'd have to use a q-tip to get all the damn water out of my head after your shower trick

My doctor told me the same thing, also said every once in awhile put hydrogen peroxide in each ear and let it sit for 10 min and rinse them out in the shower. He told me not to use Q-tips that it was just jamming stuff back in there. I've had my ear irrigated twice, which is where they blast your ear with water and as described above the end result is disgusting/impressive.

If I don't use a q-tip after I get out of the shower it just feels weird now. I rinse my ears in the shower, then use the q-tip to wipe clean if you will.

Anyone ever use ear candles? My friend would do that and still does if he can find them anywhere. Something about having open flame around your ear the gubbment doesn't like I think.
