The eclipse phenom...

On eclipse-eve the kitchen sink clogged up. Was late so I put it off until eclipse-day. :)
The wife tried the plunger but you know you can't tell a woman shit. Eventually she wore out and gave up so I took over.
Filled the sink up good n full so I had more water to "push" on. She was giving me that look. WTF !?!?!

Had it going in a minute.

Then I looked over and HEY!!!
THE FUCKING LIGHTS IN THE KITCHEN AND LAUNDRY ROOM DON'T WORK!!
Ancient Push-O-Matic breakers and one is popped. Won't stay on. Fuck.
Long story short we had line to the outdoor lighting that was shorting out.

Only 7 years until the next one.

Interestingly the total eclipse will be on the same part of Illinois.

It was cloudy here, I wasn't that interested and didn't notice a thing from my office.

Even when I am looking, there seems to be nothing I can do about. BWT are my dark side. I've had a fair number over the decoys without a shot fired for one reason or another.

We don't get many where I hunt, but a few. I've yet to fire a shot at one.

Funniest was one was in front of our blind every time we worked on getting it ready for regular season. It would flush, circle a time or two. Opening day, fairly early, here comes a teal zipping by. Grab my gun, fold him up. Finally broke the BWT drought. Dog makes a nice retrieve of the GWT. Image

But I will not be deterred. I will take my hen mallard decoys and spinners with me during early goose after teal opens to see if I can get any to taunt me again. There like will run out one of these days. Probably be a day with several big geese and everybody will look at me like I'm nuts because I'm so excited over this little bitty duck.
