Now that would not be the way to make friends but then again it's their land.

Until the ground water for the whole community goes to shit, the rivers turn to fertilized sludge down river of your property, and all the other things that you can do on your property which actually affect others, but hey, it's your property

No slippery slope. Personal liberty ends when you start to affect others. Your rights can't interfere either theirs and vice versa. Or at least it should be that way.

Sounds like you've spent a lot of time around rig sites huh?

Nope. I actually know very little about oil rigs, but I do know what the rivers look like here in MN from farming and mining. Same difference I would imagine. I don't even like the idea of eating a fish from the rivers here in the cities. I don't know how anyone could possibly want to eat fish from it farther south.

So you're blaming something you know nothing about? Farmers and ranchers have little to no supervision on what, how much and where they spray their chemicals etc. many use as they should be but many also don't. Gas and oil wells on the other hand have more environmental standards to follow than you could possibly list. Take a look into where the water table lies and how many MILES below it to where they start the fracing operation. Don't be a Matt Damon.
