Mr. Kline,
I am curious what your stance is on all of the propositions popping up on the restrictions of firearms.
I am deeply concerned about this issue and hope that you, as a representative of Minnesota which has a long standing tradition of hunting and enjoying the outdoors, also feel that restricting law abiding citizens is not acceptable.
I can look at things logically. "Assault rifles" are not a necessity for your average citizen. The problem with trying to restrict them however, is when you try to define these guns in words. The descriptions end up bleeding into your "sporting" firearms, which would then be affected by any restrictions imposed.
It's been said many times before, but it remains as true today as ever. Laws and restrictions don't stop people who plan on breaking the law. It only punishes the law abiding citizens. Please, represent the people of Minnesota and if/when any proposed firearm restriction bills are brought up, vote against restricting them.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Goldie Voter
