We registered the band and got the word back.The duck was banded in Tilly,Alberta Canada.

Its just the luck of the draw. I took a couple kids out on the juvy hunt a few years ago, one of them (on his second season) killed a banded gaddie. I went about 8 seasons of app 200 bird seasons without seing a band.
