Truck Tires

This thread should get some good mileage. rofl
I have had the best luck with B.F. Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO tires.
Kinda pricey. Can't put em on my current vehicle. 20" ghetto rims. ;)

Nitto Terra Grapplers. I'd have them on my Jeep, but they don't make 15" tires. Oh well.

My previous trucks...a 1986 Toyota 4x4 with a 2200cc, and a 1994 Ford Exploder did really well on those tires.
I had the same set on the Toyota for about 80k and still had lots of tread. Got rid of the Toyo and got the 'sploder. Put the same set of tires on and wore the Ford out. I rode on the same set of tires for about 120k. The light toyota didn't wear them much.
Have you ever had a set of tires outlast TWO vehicles?

I can tell you the stock Pirelli Scorpions on my F-150 are garbage and I'm thinking I'll probably go with Michelin LTX A/T's.

I've had good luck Cooper Discover's before.

Those tires have no place on the highway. Father in law had them on his ford ad they sucked the big one.

When I had them tires gas was under $2/gallon.
I never got stuck. That's why I bought the aggressive off-road tires.

Firestone Destination A/T on my Expedition. Good tires, but overpriced. I'm stuck with them until I need 4 at the same time...

Michelins are the way to go IMO. I had a set on my Z71, but went with the Coopers when they wore out. The Coopers are good, but the Michelins were much better.

I've never gotten tires for mileage. Always got them based off their performance or their price. Bfgoodrich at ta/ko are good for all terrain tires. Bridgestone dueller at revo are better off road, but they wear out faster. I had primewell pa100 (pa something, think it was 100, some number) on my s-10 in a 15in rim Assa and I loved them. Lots of bite offroad, but they sucked in wet weather because they are a mud terrain tire. I didn't care tho because they are the Firestone knock off brand so fairly cheap.

X2. That's a million mile tire right there but don't taken them too deep into the georgia clay bc they damn sure won't dig out.

The old style Yokohama geolander A/Ts were the best all terrain, their new design sucks. Good luck with Cooper discoverer A/T3 so far. Have never been too impressed with the BFG A/Ts, liked their M/T. Michelins last, but seem to have little traction.

I used to run Toyo A/Ts with a load rating D but, this last time around, I went to M/T they're $1100 vs the A/T at $1400+.
I don't haul horses anymore and most of my milage is on the hiway.

My truck has stock street tires and was going places the guys that had meats were afraid to go.
This one guy who has four times the truck I have was always making me follow him in case he got stuck.
I tried like hell to get him to do same for me.
He cried, I mean bawled, about getting poor mileage. Dork. The same guy tore the fuck outa the levees to where I quit going. Im betting the farmer runs me off this fall.
I WOULD!

These. I put them on 2 consecutive times when I had the dodge. Good tread, long life and considerable cheaper than others.

Well, I guess I get another set of the Scorpion ATRs.

One fishing buddy is a Regional Manager for Discount Tire and he said he could get mine replaced under warranty (sidewall issue).

Ah well.

A wee bit.

I might just have him do the swap and then sell them back for the Michelins.
