I had some thoughts on how to make WFF more user friendly.

What if we did away with every board except 1-2?

The DD is a good idea.

The other one could just be an open forum free for all, anyone could say anything, any time, for any reason. This way we wont have to bother looking up dog training forum, shotgun forums, boat forums. You just hop on board # 2 and blurt out any thing that comes to mind. Just like we are doing right now.

Everyone could become Moderators.

2. Users with usernames that are inflammatory, vulgar, or rude will have their accounts deleted.

4. Please stay within the topic area of the forum you are posting a message in. All post are subject to being moved if off topic for the parent forum.

I guess my Helter Skelter idea goes against rule # 4

Are rules any good with out enforcement? That may be a question for the many LEO's on this forum.

I've got a better idea. How bout we require new members here to have a sense of humor? How bout we require new members to be able to laugh at themselves? How bout we require new member's skin to have a minimum thickness?

TK this is what GUYS do. This is how GUYS communicate. It's not personal. It's not meant to be hurtful. And nothing said in your damned gigantic boat blind thread was hurtful. But because you can't handle a wee bit of criticism, the jokers were woken. And because the topic goes a wee bit of kilter, you comment about it rather than laugh...and again the jokers wake up.

Ya know whenever DC shows up and makes some lame ass comment that any kid would make, not just him, we and I bust his balls. But you know what he does...he laughs at it. He laughs at himself. The kid has thick skin and will make it in this GUY'S world.

TK- I know we have had an issue or two before, mainly because I joke around on here and you seem to be pretty serious. But, as I said before, sometimes you just have to poke the sleeping bear just to see what happens. It's nothing personal and if you try to see it that way things might be a little better here for you. Getting all upset just puts blood in the water and attracts more sharks.

Hey tk, how about your colorful descriptions of women, gays, and people of different races than you? They may have been "on-topic", but most likely fell under the vulgar or derogatory category, don't you think? Or should the rules only be enforced when you see fit?

Its always been all for fun, but like red pointed out, when you show your irritated it causes people to pile on.


Maybe instead of changing the forum layout we simply add a tag under users names - "can" or "can not" take jokes.

We are all mostly friends, but a couple of the mods crossed a line to a place they can't, in my mind, ever go back from. No big deal, its just a new catagory. And its disapointing to me.
