Why don't you just buy a flash hole reamer? I don't see a drill bit working all that well.

Why don't you just buy a flash hole reamer? I don't see a drill bit working all that well.

The one from Sinclair reams to 81 thou, this drill bit does the same. The bit seems to work good so far. We'll see though. If it doesn't, I'm only out $1.99.

What you're really trying to accomplish by reaming your flash holes is knocking the little "flap" of brass off that gets pushed in when they punch or drill the flash hole.
That is where you will find more inconsistencies than just .0001 difference in flash hole size.
I guess if the bit is big enough, it might knock it off, but I would think you would have to waller it around...not real consistent.

That's flash hole Deburring. I was talking about the actual flashole diameter and making them all uniform/the same diameter. :thumbsup:
