I went for a walk on Wednesday and walked up 3, but man shooting is tough without a dog. Saw two more within a 1/2 mile of my house last week...I'm just not sure I have time for a dog

I get 2-3X as many flushes with a dog in the same hunting time. Shots are closer and you are ready when they jump. I wish I had time to do it more, but it all falls in the same 3 months. Geese, ducks, deer, and small game. And top it off with school and work.

The weather bested us. That's my final thought on the matter, it changed they left and we had some adventures

I was going to stay 2.5 weeks... and I ended up leaving 5 days early because my friend had to cancel and the birds left and I was worn the hell out.

Now you've got a few extra days to get over it before getting back to the grind

I was so sleep deprived on my trip last night I didn't even notice this until this morning. No clue how long it rode like this. Had to have been after dark.

Amen.

Was with a buddy one time and had a bearing go down, major pain while on the road.

Got home and bought a complete hub assembly and stuck it in my boat box...8 years later and it's never been needed, lol.

Probably never will. But if you didn't have it you would need one.

Yep.

Had a gas furnace quit on me once.
Tore it all apart, and determined that the igniter was cracked.
Had the pro come out, confirm that indeed, the igniter was junk.
So a $39 part and a $125 service call later - viola- fire.
As he was leaving I asked how often the igniters go bad. "Some last 30 days, some last 30 years".
I asked if he had another on the truck..."sure do".

Would you believe the one I bought off the truck has been sitting on top of the furnace for near 15 years? Just waiting.
