Any bad words against cops = bashing, threads locked all the time, God forbid you say anything about brand x = permanent vacation. One of the things I had the biggest issue with was one guy admitted to requesting CC guys to hand over their firearms during a tragic stop. This "ensured safety for everybody". How I don't know. If I didn't shoot you when you walked up to the door I'd think you'd trust me with my fucking pistol. I don't know me and I don't know you, so handing over my $1000+ 1911 seems like a stupid idea to me regardless of whether or not you have a badge.

Yeah not going to happen. I will not hand over my gun, I will let them know I am armed. I don't trust them enough to do that and its sad. My best friend in high school his dad was a cop, he was a great guy and a good cop. I worked at Arbys as a senior he pulled me over twice a day. Once to place his dinner order and again to pick it up. he was funny used to ask me, Son do you know why I pulled you over. I'd reply yeah to get your damn beef and chedder and milk shake.

Check your local laws, some states don't even require you to disclose that you're carrying a firearm during a traffic stop. Only when being brought into custody. Here in AL I am under no obligation to disclose to a police officer that I am carrying a firearm even if they ask point blank.

If you are scared of American citizens carrying a gun, don't be a fucking cop. I guess that's why they aren't a game warden. They are too paranoid to deal with people that are armed as every game ward does. Can you imagine if a warden asked you to hand over your gun before he checked your license? You'd like at them like they are fucking retarded.

The only thing that bothers me more than cops that are uncomfortable around people with guns are fellow hunters that are afraid of people that carry guns. People in the military that are afraid of people carrying guns are up there as well.

I get it with people that don't carry guns and aren't around people that carry guns. They are ignorant.

Well what happens if he fondles it or something happens during the exchange and the damn thing goes off. If he shoots himself with my pistol I'm sure I'll get fucked in that situation.

True story. About 13-14 months after I graduated a buddy was out driving around at night. He has a gun rack in between his front seats, kinda like in a cop car, that he keeps an AK and a mossberg 500 in. He gets pulled over for being a suspicious vehicle, drives a early 2000's Ford 1 ton. Cop walks up to the truck and sees the guns in the rack, pulls his sidearm and sticks it in my friend'a face. All the while yelling at him to put his hands up. He was no threat. Kid was 19 years old and this cop is threatening him to basically blow his head off because he has long arms in the truck. Completely legal in Texas. Don't remember what happened after that but I do know the cop bitched him out about it. Shit like that fuels my hatred of what cops have become. Thinking only they should have guns. Anyway I'm good friends with several cops but you never know when that trigger happy jackass is gonna be the one pulling you over.


Another story. A friend of my dads we fish with all the time got a call from one of his wife's coworkers one night. Her husband, boyfriend, whatever had best her again and she was moving out and wanted someone to go with her. He said he would, called the police and grabbed his shotgun because they didn't know what the fuck was gonna happen. They get there about the same time as the cops and he started talking to the cop. This guy, woman beater, had been know for being violent and the cop was going to go in first to escort the lady. My dads friend told the officer he had a shotgun in the trunk of the car and said he would stand back behind the car with it if the officer wanted him to. The officer said he would really appreciate if he be ready to save his ass if shit went south. That's how cops aught to react to armed citizens not treat them like scum.
