I actually went to a live taping of Springer. Not one of the better episodes. Don't even think it ever aired.

How much of that **** is actually put on.

Just one episode. As far as I could tell it was not a put on. It was pretty much what you saw on TV. I think they had a simple plan. Put enough morons up on stage and you will get what you need.

He seemed like a legitimately nice guy. Shook everyone's hand at the end of the show. My Dad liked the show. The show sent him a a signed picture because my wife asked him for an autograph for my Dad. It was pretty nice. I think my Dad still has it.

A guy that works with me knows someone that was on the show. They set a plan for a show and try to get 3 or 4 groups that fit the description, but if they can't find enough people they pay people to fill in. So, on most episodes, most of it is real.
