First tie the barrel on.



Next slip the insert in but carefully orient the reed where it's on top. Now every time you grab it the string lines it up and your reed is on the top without even looking.

Always thought shrimp for fish a bad trade, when they'll bite on so much other stuff. Well, maybe not hardheads. Don't know that you can beat shrimp for them.

You’re right, fried shrimp does taste better than fried fish.

These are pen raised then released.
I'd try some pond fish food if I knew what they raised them on.
Small Spinners, corn, and commercial dough baits like crappie nibbles is what works.
I suppose an actual trout fishing enthusiast would use a hand tied whatsit.
I'll be fishing with the brothers main.
They'd eat the bait if I show up with shrimp
Everyone uses canned corn.
Oh I forgot colored marshmallows and usually you pick out the yellow ones. Corn and yellow marshmallows is the ticket. That's dumb as hell but is what works here.
