Damn, I wasn't reading this thread because I already saw the Byers hunt pics and relly, I'm not interested in it other than it made a little girl very happy to get all that positive attention.
Why doesn't someone start a separate thread on WFF hunts and ideas.
I'm not opposed to hunt anywhere in the USA but, the westcoast thing defintely works better. A big plus is that we still have good bird numbers too.

QH I'd like to see 2 hunts one for each coast.

If nothing can be planned I would gladly put on a hunt. Have a few places that could accompany a big group. Enough of us live close to help with lodging.
Unless those of you on the coast are too good to come inland!

You must not have read what I wrote. I said it's the best place I've ever been(US) for hunting. That is the truth, west or no west. I haven't been there so obviously, it can't be the best place I've ever hunted.

If I wanted to pay to hunt with a guide, it wouldn't be out west. It wouldn't even be in the states. It would be Mexico, Paraguay, or Argentina most likely. That's where the real duck hunting is anyways.

I like this idea. A good firefight is WAY more fun than hunting ducks, anyway. And I've got some aggression that could use taking out. I vote for this one.

You're right, you got me. I commented from the first statement that you thought NY was the best..blah blah blah yada yada yakity yak yak.
Kinda started sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher actually, as you started back peddling. It's all good though. When I think of the best places to hunt in the US, I think of the continental US. Alaska is cool and all but, it's almost like a foreign country.
For me, hunting is about more than just waterfowling. I would hunt any state, at least once, given the chance.

I've got a red dog that doesn't really retrieve and would just want to pay with the other dogs all day. We could strap a magnum goose shell to her back and let her be motion in the spread.
