exactly right my man. Nothing makes my morning like doing 65 in the fast lane on my way to work and pissing off all the locals

If the MAN is going 63 in the right lane on a 4 lane, I will set cruise to 65 and pass him. Still have not broke the law.

Never been pulled over for it.

Shit, the 5-0 passes me when I'm going 75 and I tuck in behind them and go as fast as they do.

Eat a dick copper.

The signs on the side of the road are suggestions.

My wallet determines my speed. Company fuel? Cruise set at 7 over.

I had a group of Illinois State Troopers lecture me on "how to not get your ass kicked by the police".
Happened at a goose club.
They dont want to mess with 4mph over but 5 n up is starting to get into risky territory...in general.
I listened and have not got any asskickings for a while.

Its not as fun a job as ppl think.
Red could tell stories and show pics that'd make us puke I bet.

Totally agree.

For me speeding isn't cause I'm running late, I just like to get where I'm going sooner rather than later whether it's 1 hour or 10 hours away. Usually try to keep it between 8 to 9 mph over the posted speed limit depending traffic or just go with the flow. Not sure if you can count the speeding tickets I've had using your fingers and toes. I have a lead foot, but have really focused on slowing it down in recent years.

You realize the time you save by driving 8 or 9 over is negligible? Hour drive at 8 over saves you 8 minutes and get the privilege of giving your hard earned money away to the state for a reason you could have prevented. Speed away.

Your right not gonna argue that, but most traffic runs 8 to 9 over around here. If I speed, it's 50/50 whether or not I get a ticket.

Does that make the one going faster in the left lane any more legal than the one going 5 over? Aren't both of you breaking the law, so how is one or the other one right?

I'm saying just because you're speeding the left lane doesn't mean you can block other people wanting to go faster

But if I'm going over the speed limit, why should I get over for somebody going faster than me? Who is right? Neither.
its common courtesy. You're comfortable going 5 over. The person behind you might be comfortable going 10 over. Why are you jamming them up. Just get over and let them pass then go back to doing your 5 over

Fuck anyone who thinks I should drive 55. You can go live with the fuckin' peanut farmer who mandated the 55mph speed limit. And, for the record, they did not mandate 55mph for safety, they mandated it for gas savings during the "fake" gas crunch of the 70s. The same people came up with a great new Department of Energy to protect us from the money mongering gas companies. Go ahead and tell me how that shit worked out, it didn't. They are just another bureaucracy now, the Department of Energy that is.
As for the safety aspect, all the freeways we have that were built in or before the 70s were designed for speeds of 70-90mph. I remember when I was a kid not only were the interstate freeways 70-90 but, the state highways here in Oregon were also. Now some assholes comes along and starts trying to convince all the kids, that weren't born yet, the reason was for safety....NOT!
If you want to drive 55, get yo ass in the right lane and STFU.

Yeah, what ever.

I drove a truck over the road for allmost 5 years. I have pulled a trailer from LA to Long Island, been 1n 44 states.

I have an opinion on public safety. I am sorry you dont agree with it.

That does not change my opinion.

So tell me Jehler, do you do 65 mph through a school zone?
