Is it a stream dammed for the pond? If so, could you buy or manufacture some sort of small turbine and a small spillway? I'd have to think that's put solar to shame.

No. It's rainwater run-off fed.
So I'd only be happy when it rains.
Shirley that's no way to live. (obscure and will likely miss most of you).

Is that a "Garbage" lyric and an "Airplane" reference in the same post?

How did this thread go 13 pages in the blind without morphing into pictures of weiners and stuff? :)
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

I'm glad you caught it. Shirley is also the singers name. She was hot.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

We love the place.
I came home this afternoon and the geese and turkeys were playing king of the mountain on the pond dam.
The geese won, but I snapped a shot while the turkeys were moving off.

That's awesome. Shooting turkey out your back door. We have crap loads in the city but I can't hunt in the city parks near my house. I can hunt them in the woods behind my mother's house with a crossbow, which is in the city as well.
