Every so often a refuge thread beats its way thru to me.
They pop up in the weirdest places.
They're arguing about what a jack is.
Jack is not a duck and Jack was killed for not paying for his crack. They offed him over $20 with extreme prejudice.
Don't be Jack.

Somehow I suddenly have to get materials and time to board up the windows on a fairly large empty house.
In January law enforcement won't be evicting any squatters and you literally see bums walking around looking for access. If ppl move in its up to me to decide what level of force to use to evict them.
Seems easier to just keep them out.
Safer too.
I'm about to piss away $400 on plywood.

Tonight the moon is big and bright still it came up about an hour ago. This cold snap may trigger some movement I hope.
Everything is setting up for a good hunt I just have to beat the crowd. Got several alternate spots in mind. The wind is right. Moon won't set until just before shooting time.

On the way out my engine kept stalling.
Fuel starved.
To clear the works I did this and pumped the squeeze bulb and it's fine. I suspect ice.
When all else fails try this.
Poke a nail or something in the hole.

Ahhh. All set up. Time to spare. Steamy in here.
It's nice to actually be able to dry clothes. Hang em up and they dry fast.
Waders are steaming.

Believe it or not there are people thar aren't members that follow this dumb thread.
They want more.

I remember wanting this boat-blind so bad.
It's been a lot of places..some I wouldn't try like the railroad tressel at Carlyle Lake. People die there. It's a bad place.

I've got 5 or 6 flavors of 3 inch shells.
I'm using Winchester today.
I've killed countless ducks with super x xpert.
Don't really need 3 inch shells I've killed more with these.
16682508415087178947518009685244.jpg

Boat 4 just came in. No room but I bet they set up anyway. If the water was up right there's room for 4 boats but since it's shallow ...no way they can set up legal.
I'm not say8ng a word I'm 200+ yards from anywhere they can set up because I got I the spot nobody ever use....fools.

Picture a catchers mitt. I'm in the thumb. The rest are fighting over the mitt. It appears that the late boat is joining the guy in the best spot.
It's mucky as hell there I'm hunting over sand. They can have it. I don't want it.
:)
Hate to say it fellas but it's a call-war now.
I got this. It's breezy and I'm in a dead zone.
Gonna be loud as hell.

It's warm, dry, inside and out of the wind.
Yawn. This little rig is perfect for someone in the 5'8" range but not a lot bigger.
"Chunk" would be miserable in here.
Big guys have used this blind but I think they practiced a little at shooting seated.
It's kind of what I do.
I've had mallards practically landing un the boat and I've shot them that crashed into the blind.
I get close shots...and miss. Lol

Doubtful. Big flock of ducks flew over high and went right to the hot water discharge canal at 7. Whistle...they were a half mile away.

The guys over the hill appear to have gotten the 7 mallards that worked their end.
Both other parties are obscured by land and trees so I have to assume them guys slammed em. Looked right

The only way to repair that sink faucet is weird.
Put it together proper and it self destructs BUT if you do it backwards where the hot is on wrong side it works.
Very odd. There is a broken piece.
Buy a new faucet.
My wife tried so hard to find the broken part. Got shamed for buying crappy fixtures from the store it came from.
I'd have shamed them for selling crappy fixtures "their own words" but I wasn't there.
You see...I'm a dick.

Sooner or later you admit it.
Would actually rather be here than in the mix at the lake.
No matter what I stink even if I limit.
They'll say weird things back at the launch.
Maybe tomorrow.
Maybe not.

Doesn’t Moen have lifetime replacement parts? I’ve gotten 2 bushings with o-rings over the last 17 years at no charge.

Define lifetime.
Certain lifetime guarantees only cover the life of the product. For them to honor that I'd need to dig up my father and ask him where he put the receipt.
That faucet is 11 years old.

It's a southern thing.
Let me guess it was still in her purse from 24 years ago.
