Fall of a once mighty waterfowl forum

Place for general and off topic Waterfowl talk.

That spam thread has opened up a sore.

Ironic how an open public forum can't handle or tolerate people talking about 'it' on 'it' in a negative manner.

Typical corporate attitude.
That's the difference between this one and that one (forum)...a corporation owns one and a hunter owns the other.

That fact is not gonna go away.

We have a fair number of members that read everyday but don't post. I don't have a problem with this, obviously there is something they enjoy reading here and if all they want to do is read more power to them. While it's fun to see WFF grow being the biggest and the best is NOT what this place is about. At all.

As a new member at the first forum I joined I had images in my mind of rainbows, pots of gold, and members who all got along and shared their waterfowl stories and secrets. I imagined guys posing up videos of what their new call sounds like so I could listen to a bunch of them and pick out a good call on my first try...etc.
Oh boy was I wrong...

Most likely every single new member has the same idea of what they think a good forum should be and are disappointed when they find it's not. I was and actually vocalized my disgust. Well, that was me being my foolish self.

It took a lot of cajones to start posting and taking all the criticism but...IT's been good for me.
There is a lot of very good info to be taken away from here if you can stand the sore nuts.
