A buddy gave me 4 boxes a couple of years ago because they wouldn't cycle through his Stoeger autoloader. I hunt on the Texas coast and it can often get very windy and the hevi seemed to do very well especially in 30 mph crosswinds. Like the others have stated I can't justify spending the extra dollars when I'm knocking them down with less expensive loads but for me they worked great just not worth the price.

I tried a box of the new HeviSteel 3" 1's alongside my normal HM 3" shells and was impressed. I still prefer
the HM's but the HS killed several mallards stone dead outside the decoys

I like to shoot kent 3inch #4s but seem a box of hevi speedball, ya it was high priced but I wanted to try it out. The wed before thanksgiving we some nasty weather 30 to 40 mph wind and rain. I was 6 for 6 out to 40 yards no problem. Like said above I'll try it again but on special hunts or when its nasty out.

I have tried Kent fast eel the old hevisteel and hevimetal. I love the hevimetal when I can get it on sale if I run out I use Kent. Hevimetal seems to down more birds but for the price I'd shoot Kent everyday if the hevimetal wasn't on sale

Some of the best loads I ever shot. was only 1200 fps the old bismuth was a killing load. Not the new stuff.
