Yessir. Saskatchewan. Problem is my boss suggested we don't take vacation at the end of the month, and the season tentatively opens the 22nd. I may need a new job come October.

That reminds me of a job I had when I was 18-19. I put in for 2 weeks off. The week before I was supposed to leave, I remind the boss I won't be in the following week. He says we're probably gonna have to change that. I say "change what you want, I won't be in next week or the week after." He tells me I won't have a job if I do it and I tell him "I was looking for a job when I got this one, maybe I'll just bowhunt for a whole month if I'm unemployed."
He called my parents and left a message for me to call him when I got back in town.
I don't know if I'd do it exactly the same now. I was young and didn't have any kids yet, little different situation.

Yea, I'm an adult (or at least acting like one) now, so just up and quitting wouldn't really be that great of an idea, bills, mortgage, all that fun stuff. But I'd be lying if I said the thought hasn't crossed my mind multiple times now.

Don't know why, but in the last hour or so I have developed a very, very shitty attitude. I'm just mad at the world at the moment. Must be menopause.

Thats an easy fix man assa. If you have menopause just switch to your other self. Manopause is a much hard issue to cure....no where to run.

I'm not looking forward to that one at all. With two in the house with PMS at the same time, I occasionally want to commit a murder suicide. I suspect by the time there would be three, one will be in menopause, and the others will be treating me to their PMS induced mood swings. Add one menopausal woman to the mix, and I may come live on your boat.

I suspect my mood is influenced by a lack of fishing. I've only been out once this year so far. We have a guy down on the Nanticoke that wants us to come get rid of some groundhogs under his sheds in exchange for letting us use his piers into the river for the rest of the season. Good fishing, there, and the hardheads are running. Fall rockfish are pretty good there, too. The piers get us out into the deep water.

I may take you up on it before it's over with. That, or you may just show up one morning and see some hobo looking guy in a beat up old Jeep Cherokee sleeping at your boat  You know how it is with kids- weekends get sucked up faster than a sweet tea through a straw. As it stands right now, I think my next 4 weekends are booked solid, at least part of every day. Throw in minimum 2 hours in the garden each day, killing groundhogs every other night, add in the "real" job, and it's no wonder where the time goes.

Our daughter was just born on the 2nd, so take your time. The fishing will be best from Late August to Oct. anyway. Unless you really want those hardheads. You can fill an ice chest right now, but they will be around all summer. I'll leave a pillow under the bow.

There must be a disturbance in the force, because I'm about two clicks from cracking heads myself, without much good cause.

Here in the part of Oregon I live, squirrels and rabbits are open year around. When I get that feeling I just go to the gun cabinet, grab a weapon and pocket full of shells and go kill something.
Try it, it only take a couple to make a good meal and soothe that feeling.
OR, you could go the way of WTN10 and go pick up a hitchhicker. :o

Ha! That's why I've been killing groundhogs. No squirrels open, no rabbits open. (the eagles have damn near ate all of them anyway)

Moody's much better now. There for a couple hours it was touch and go. Don't know what's up with that. That's the biggest difference between men and women- we know when we're in a bad mood, and don't blame it on other people

Shooting .22s is still one of the most fun things anyone can do. As a kid they don't see small and as an adult you don't feel bad about burning through 500 rounds. I have a 10/22 and love it.

I love my 10/22. I've considered many times putting the archangel tactical kit on mine.

Don't do it! Haha I've been thinking about getting the .22L conversion kit for my AR just so I can shoot it more.

I've heard bad things about that conversion kit.

And I can't convert my 10/22. I may get another one day and do it.
