And to Gila, it always amused me when I'd cross a "river" in Arizona. The Gila and Salt were most often a wide, dry sandy bed, full of vehicle tracks, with a bridge over them And the San Pedro "river" I hunted often could be hopped over without much effort.

Check out the boat and motor forum and see if there is anything in there that can help. If not post up a new thread and I'm sure you'll get some ideas...and most likely some bullshit too.
