A fish. That can "walk" to nearby bodies of water, and breathe air. And have big teeth. An eat every other fish in a body of water. Which is why they learned to walk to new locations. They suck.

Understatement of the year. I know it's only a matter of time before all these invasives get everywhere, but that is one I'm REALLY not looking forward to having to fend off my hooks.

There are video cameras strapped onto the front of that roller coaster and they don't show any footage of that long haired guy getting hit by a good.

Not fake. It happened at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA about 14 years ago.

Me and Clyde are good. Just starving for an argument is all. It's what happens in the off season- expect it to get worse in the next month or so. The closer it gets, the more snippy people tend to be, from my experience.

Heard the name Fabio before. Would not be able to pick him out of a crowd though.

He is/was a model or an actor? Or both?

We had bentgrass greens, and it was a pain keeping the fungus off of it, even up here. Can't imagine what it's like down your way. During these hot, humid days we'd have to drag hoses across the greens to try and get the dew off first thing in the morning before the dollar spot and other yuck would start.

That's where our seed always came from- kept under lock and key because that crap was (and I'm sure still is) so expensive. I swept out the seed room once to clean it up, and took the sweepings to my grandparents place to dump in a bare spot. To this day, there is a ridiculously green, lush patch of grass on one side of their front yard.

yea oregon is a hot spot for ther turf industry, when i worked in research wed send experimental lines of grass to be tested out in oregon.

our big problem is pythium on our bent, also black algae. we throw out water in the morning with the irrigation, and then send out wilt watchers after lunch til abt 5 or 6. everybody takes a different approach, ours is highly preventative. we spray 2 or 3 times a week always with fungicide and calcium. lots of light topdressing supresses the black layer. we do cut it close with the chemical budget tho. i should join a turfgrass forum instead of a duck hunting forum. lol.
