Bands? Can't get excited about them.
I knew a guy that could spot a band from 270 yards.
I've known a lot of duck hunters but some are special.
This one said the word "band" about every third word.
Imagine it. He said he'd " killed more birds than avian flu".
I sort of doubt it but this particular guy could shoot extremely well and totally knew his waterfowl.
Like a God of the honker guides.
Then one day he told me to shoot a pelican and the glow was gone just like that.

Flashback 1968...
When I was a kid trick or treating was mostly home-made.

Caramel apples, peanut brittle, POPCORN BALLS...
An actual store mini candy bar was rare.
Fudge wasn't.
Then some kids got poisoned and just like that Mars owned Halloween.
What a coincidence.

Someone I do not like is in possession of not one but TWO Remington 1100s. One is a twenty gauge. Other is 12.
My dad's guns ...
They don't have an FOID so they're illegally possessing the guns .
Last night they were frantically calling me trying to determine if an 1100 series shotgun is a semi-auto.
Should I tell them that "yes it is" and "you need to give me my father's guns before I turn you in to McGarrett"?
I'd like to have them guns today

Do what you gotta do, get your 1100’s. This summer I gave my nephew the ‘79 12 gauge 1100 that had been in my possession since my grandfather passed in 2003. I still have my ‘83 20 gauge 1100. It’s a fun little gun for doves and squirrels.

One thing I'd ask is for them to recall the passage of the Darien Gap.
Ever hear of the Pan-American highway?
For about 60 miles it never was built.
The Darien Gap is so wild and filled with exotic wild species that building the highway wasn't allowed.
It's a construction nogozone.
We are supposed to believe that the migrants walked thru the gap carrying children and their possessions.
