WFF almost has 250 posts

Postby Goldfish » Tue Jul 17, 2012 7:05 pm

My friend has friends up in Saskatchewan, so I don't have to worry about boarding, or guides, and he said between gas, shells, food, beer, and licensing that I should plan on a grand. It'd probably be overkill, but to plan on it and you'll have enough.

I have no idea what it'd run if you needed to pay for hotel and wanted to find a guide.

Same here and I got up at 4 for work. Wish it would get darker sooner here so I could go to bed early, come December when it's pitch black at 4:30pm I'll regret saying that.

I was looking into a hunt near Saskatoon in October but decided it was a little too much for me. $2800 for 8 days, completely inclusive. The guy I know has been going every year and between the 4 of them they average right around 600 birds in the 8 days they are there. All birds are cleaned and packaged for free, but I believe they had to pay to mail it? Can't remember. Only thing I don't think was included was beer, but he said after one or two you are ready for bed and the next days hunt anyways.

I actually got shushed by my wife last night because I was talking during duck dynasty. Never thought I would see the day and called her out and she was embarrassed

Woohoo! I love going to royals games. Even if they do lose.

How much to go to Hawaii? Four people, two adults and two kids, in a four or five star resort for a week. Plus a rental car??

If you can talk the woman into eating a few breakfasts and lunches in the hotel room you can work in a day of this too: :fishing:

Breakfast in the hotel room- I just hear that and cringe. That almost killed me, and I had almost purged it from my memory, until you put it back.

Fishing in Hawaii is fun, but I have had way better fishing trips in Mexico and Canada.

Let me clarify: by that I mean feeding the kids a box of donuts or some muffins and a juice box from the store.

Duck Dynasty is filmed here in my home town. Phil lives about 15 miles south of me, give or take a couple of miles.

BTW, don't believe the way they portray all of us. There is a LOT of staging going on in that show. Still love it though!

I live far enough up in North Louisiana that the Cajun part doesn't apply. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the redneck part. :)

Is duck hunting as popular as television makes it seem in LA?
