Open carry isn't legal in TX. Clyde you're slipping.

Also, If you have a concealed carry license you can't open carry at all. Once your licensed to conceal you have to keep it concealed even if you move to an open carry state.

It doesn't work that way in OR.

If you have a concealed handgun license in OR, you can conceal carry and/or open carry.

If you are allowed to have a firearm in OR, you can open carry.

If that is the case why is it called a "concealed handgun license"? If you can have a concealed license and carry open they would jsut call it a handgun license. It just makes better sense that way.

In MN it's just a license to carry. You can open or conceal. Your choice, but you get a lot of stares one way.

Thats not the way it works in OR, we dont need a license to own a handgun in OR. Open carry is legal as long as you are allowed to own said gun in the first place, just like clyde said. The CC license lets you do just that, conceal your handgun.

It really makes more sense this way.

What makes more sense is not requiring any sort of license to do any damn thing you want with a gun, if you're allowed to have one. The distinctions made between "concealed" and "open" are just plain silly, when it comes right down to it.

I seriously doubt your state laws carry over to other states

I wear a OWB holster in the winter time. Most of the time my jacket covers it but if I take it off I'm not to worried about someone taking my pistol, I am more cautious though when open carrying. In the summer it's all CC.

I conceal a full sized Glock 17 everyday. It's my only handgun right now.

It's called a concealed handgun license because it is effectively illegal to conceal a SMB, SBR or shotgun in OR.
