Haven't taken it out yet, every weekend there has been high winds and tall waves.

After we take it out for the maiden voyage/figure out how to catch fish... I'll let you know if it is worth fishing with us.

When ever fishing is going well Botiz refers to himself as the TICKET!
For example, when he pulls in a big crappie... "The TICKET! has got this boyz"

thats jr's nickname amongst his uncles, they think he's spoiled

The ticket, I'll remember that and try to be the ticket first if I'm fishing with him and steal the ticket title away

You like those Gulp baits? I've heard nothing but good things about them, but tend to stick with Fishbites, since I have good luck with them. I need to get out more, since I only went out salt fishing one time last year.

I don't think there is an inshore plastic bait that can beat the gulp. I know they're pricey as hell, but damn they're good baits.

You ever use fishbites? I swear, they almost guarantee a flounder, although that could be because I will only flounder fish where I know there are flounder. And they're the same way- if it dries on the hook, the mesh will make it damn near impossible to get off the hook.

What Gulps do you use?

I only artificial in the winter/early spring for specs and drum. For those its generally 3-4" shrimp, usually the newpenny, white, or natural are the ticket.

Flounder around here will bite them, but they tend to be on the smaller side. Thats why we stick to live bait.

Never tried fishbites, I've heard of them but like I said 9/10 its live bait fishing down here. (for me at least) I know the inshore charter guys fish the hell out of artificial but they're generally targeting quanity for clients over size.

All false except the FYI, I hate gulp. Too stiff, no action, and if you change to a different rod for more than an hour, take the gulp off the other rod or it'll be harder than obx playing tennis with his sister

Thats why you don't leave it on the rod..put it back in the package. Its almost fact that it outfishes all other artificials.
