I'm sure it's legal there. Maybe. I'm not entirely certain it's legal here. But it is legal to bait deer, so I don't see the harm in baiting them under a piece of chain link fence, at an angle to the ground. And you're not shooting them.

Nice swamp donkey. I'd like to do some shed hunting up there.

I have come across some nice sheds in the spring on lake and river sandbars. Both antlers fell offat the same time and were about 5 feet apart. I have also seen them above timberline while sheep hunting. Makes you wonder why they would be up there in the middle of winter. The density of animals is pretty low compared to the lower 48 so you would have to do a lot of traveling to find more than a few horns.

What time of year do they drop up there? I'd imagine later than down here.

Seen them with horns in February and March but I think the bigger racks go sooner.

It is illegal to feed moose in Alaska but still interesting. I have got six or seven racks laying around and can't sell them attached to the skull plate, but antlers in an antler trap I could sell to tourists and artsy people.

Is it illegal to feed squirrels? The fence over the corn is just to keep the cute little boogers from getting picked off by hawks and eagles while they're getting some much needed nourishment.

Can you see me running out yelling at a moose (that's getting into my secret garden), "HEY, you can't eat that or I'll get arrested...shoo, go away...shoo".

Speaking of tree rats...I'm about to feed them the "peanuts of death".

Taco Bell is great. Drowning their tacos in about 4 packages of Fire sauce only makes them better.

The fire sauce tastes bad, and it's not really very hot. The mild is delicious, though.

Something to look forward to

I don't have a problem with TB messing with my tummy. Oh, and mild sucks. Hot is the best. A hint of heat with good flavor. Fire will do, but Mild is a waste...might as well just as for extra tomatoes.
